There’s something to be said about this beautiful Parliament Hill of ours during the winter season. Stripped of all vibrant colors, the structure itself seems to reach out to us. This image, Evergreen Parliament framed inside the evergreens is somehow enchanting and quiet. Perhaps winter has something to do with that.
This Path to Politics image is also set in winter but because it is an evening photo the lighting says a lot more. The yellow windows inside Parliament seem to say it’s nice and cozy here.
The panoramic feel of this photo, Political Landscape, really says winter in Ottawa, Canada.

I’m always amazed at how winter photography looks so much different than any other seasonal photography. What’s interesting is how everything is about contrast. There’s white, and there’s everything else. The whiteness is the base that gives everything a feeling of clean and pure.
This slideshow features winter images from the Seasons Collection of stock photography available to publishing houses, communications firms and design agencies. You’ll agree that they all have a certain peacefulness about them. Winter is here so take your camera for a walk this winter and shoot away. I trust that you will be pleasantly surprised at what you can capture.
