The Library of Parliament offers information, reference and research services to parliamentarians and their staff, parliamentary committees, associations and delegations, and senior Senate and House of Commons officials.
A significant portion of the old copper roofing from the Library of Parliament renovation, was reused by the Canadian War Museum at various locations throughout the museum’s interior spaces.

Finding the Right Image
As we see here, it is a beautiful building full of gothic intrigue and character, and is also the site chosen to erect the statue of Sir Robert Borden, the 8th Prime Minister of Canada.
Another point of interest that many are not familiar with, is that there is a tunnel connecting the West and Centre Blocks. It will be interesting to find out what will become of it after the renovations.
During a prior renovation, these West Block turrets on the North side, were completely refurbished.
If you’re a parliamentarian, you speak Parliament everyday. You may work for a Member of Parliament or with a government agency in some way or another, you probably speak Parliament more than you think.
It’s all about Canadian pride. Why use Parliament photos? Well it’s not what people expect to see in a document or PowerPoint presentation and is always a pleasant surprise for the reader to see the beauty that is our Canadian Parliament Heritage architecture. What I’ve done is phototographed the buildings of the Parliamentary Precint including the West, Centre, East and Langevin blocks, along with the Justice and Confederation buildings. These structures can be seen in all kinds of settings such as Seasons, Day, Night, Inside, Canada Day, Christmas and more!

Four of the many grotesques that can be found in the gothic architecture of the Peace Tower are made from Wallace sandstone from Nova Scotia, Canada. They are each approximately 42″ by 22″ wide. They remind me of certain scenes in the Batman movies. Here is a closer view of one of them. Also, note the tourists looking back at us from inside the observation deck. Interesting!
These grotesques are seen half-way up the clock tower. One is hooved and playing the lute, the other must be the town crier. It gives the feeling of a mysterious gothic presence on Parliament Hill.
More grotesques, on the right, kneeling and holding a bow, while his pig-like friend is playing the accordion.
You can also see more sculptures just above eye level, along the main Parliament entrance. Have a look at these pretty faces. We see fictitious people, lions, dragons and owls.
